Default Roe Deer: which is best - winter or summer coat?

As on the lable, if you were going to pick up a hide, which would you prefer?

I don't know the answer; but I'm guessing that summer coats would be from males.
Roe Bucks which can only legally be shot from Apr 1 - Oct 31

Doe (females) shooting season from Nov 1 – Mar 31, probably the winter coats.

Cheers guys. I reckon I will get enough hair to last a lifetime by buying a hide for £12.
