Default Congratulations Philip Bailey

Congratulations Philip Bailey, just noticed your flies on Hans' site.
For those that dont know Phil (flyfishwithme) not only guides but ties a very mean fly.
We fished together a couple of time and on his second visit to my home water he kindly tied me a parachute fly named "The Clyde", whilst i dare not tell him it still slams them! He was also responsible for my almost pathological need to fish damp Red Tags for Grayling.

Good on you Skippy and well done

I'll second those remarks Phil, well done.
For such a big fella, it's hard to believe you can tie such dainty little flies.
Beautiful creations, and all fish catchers, I look forward to rummaging through your tin before too long.
Best Steven.

Hi, Yes, I met Phil at the BFFI with Steve Parkes. A very nice chap. Off to the land of sand and oil, for a while plus getting in some Saltwater Fly fishing.

Regards

Stuart

Congrats Phil.

Top man - always a mine of info on spiders, leaders, rods, all sorts.

I particularly like the CDC Kite.

Fishing Spiders as dries ( Watershed on wing ) proved a great new tactic for me at the end of the season and this CDC style wing is something i will definitely be working on as soon as i get around to tying some dries.

Thanks guys for the comments, I feel a bit humble compared to some of the quality I see on this forum.

Well done Phil. I’m glad those lesson I gave you finally paid off!
I suppose you are going to be unbearable on the 18th, I will get Maggie to pick up a second bottle of Macallan so we don’t have to toast your success with that cheap whisky you provide!
