Fly dressers guild...

Hi all, new to fly fishing but already thinking about tying too to keep me entertained on these dark cold evenings.

I don't want to ask the usual 'which kit' question so I'll make it specific - does anybody know how good the kit is that the flydressers guild are giving away as part of their membership? It's £40 membership which includes the kit - pic looks like a vice some tools and some materials. I would expect an organisation like this to include some decent enough kit but for that sort of money I just can't see how?

If anyone here has the kit I'd be interested to know what's it's like.

My branch of the FDG acquired a few of these kits & although I've not had a chance to give them a close look over I gather from members of our committee that they represent exceptional value for a starter. The contents were supplied from Veniard's at an extremely favourable rate specifically to encourage people to start up & progress into the activity. We all had to start out somewhere & this is the most cost effective & probably best way of doing so. I only wish that both the FDG & these kits had been around when I started some 40+ years ago, they may well have saved me a few years of the learning curve.
