Default Useful feather info

For those of us less knowledgable on the subject theres some useful information on different types of feathers used in fly tying which may help when ordering materials etc. American related but it gives a basic understanding.

just had a look..and for those new to tying this is a great guide, only real difference between u guys over the pond to this side..is that ur flies are tied to the various lakes you fish, where ours have a tendencey to be more general and larger cause of that saying..'the bigger the fish the bigger the fly!'

Yep,

That is a good introduction for a fellow who has neither prior knowledge or a friend who knows the ropes. Thanks must go to the men who take the time to organize such sites for no other purpose than guiding the new fly tying angler.

Good post Wingman,

Ard

Thanks Hardyreels, sorry its a bit late, must have missed it at the time, anyway thought I'd bump it again as there's a few beginners on here that might find it useful, forgotten I'd posted it actually.

This is great wingman.

Very useful for the likes of me who is just starting out and has not got a clue on what is what.

Keep up the great work m8.
