Default Tonight's offerings

Cruncher variant - to add a bit of extra flash and movement the head hackle is a cock pheasant breast feather, the cobalt blue and red ones. The photo really does not do it justice and need to get myself a better camera. I am not very good at using these game hackles yet but relatively happy with this one effort (the first few are stripped now). Macro photos really show up my heads, need to sort it out.

Brassie rabbit- to add movement and weight I am playing with natural furs and hen hackles, this is the attempt I am most happy with so far. The hackle is deliberately long to aid movement but I am a bit worried that with the rabbit fur thorax the hackle will not slick back to give that nymphy impression over the segmented wire. Any thoughts for a thorax material that may be better suited?

These are definitely works in progress so any help appreciated.

How about a small partridge or perhaps better woodcock/grouse palmered in short to give a secondary floaty bit. Keeping the two apart might be a problem? Or some lightly dubbed mole fur as in waterhen bloa? Whatever, but wispy.

Liek the idea of the samller palmered feather, woodcock sounds interesting! Now where did I put me shotgun!
