Default Emerging sedge pupa

Can anyone point me in the direction of a nice sedge pupa pattern, to be fished in rivers ( only ). Something that will hang in the top few inches?

Towards the end of the season, I found plenty of cased caddis shells, but not sure if this should influence the emerger pattern?

Dont worry , am swotting Entomology in the close season, just havent got to sedges yet!

Thanks all

Try the emerger in Oille Edwards dvd "Woven flies" or a variation of it, doesnt necessarily have to be woven. I had a lot of fish towards the end of the season on the same fly with fox squirrel dubbed abdomen ribbed with a thin strip of yellow olive flexibody. If you want to borrow the dvd for a while il send it up to you no bother.

This pupa will sink very slowly http://www.flyforums.co.uk/fly-tying...asy-steps.html and you can substitute CDC for the wing buds, then it will just hang in there in the surface film.

Cheers!
