Default Krystal Hackle Flies

As I said in an earlier post I have been experimenting with Krystal Hackle material Here are two examples of it. I think it works well if it is blended in with natural feather. palmered fly is palmered with natural feather then a collar hackle of olive krystal flash then a head hackle of French P.
Didn't like the stuff to start with but I beginning to really really like it and look forward to using flies incorporating it next year.

Nice looking flies there Old Jock.

The krystal hackle gives it a sparkle that should attract the trout.

I really like the bottom one. I've tried dabblers with straggle fritz before but it never looked right. That looks the biz though.

Those look usefull Jock....I agree with WF in that the dabblers using fritz can look a wee bit OTT regarding the overall proportions of the fly.The krystal hackle may be the way to go....
