Wink Winter Waders

I need some tackle advice please.
Looking for some warmer waders for the winter season. As i am a lady, neoprene waders with boots are not an option with sizing issues, also the boots are to big and uncomfortable.
Any advice would be greatly received, as I can't afford to make a mistake.
So can you give me any direction from your experiences ?

Thank you in anticipation.

Posting in general or tackle talk should get you an answer.

Sorry - my experience limits itself to suspenders and bodices - almost impossible to get a size that fits me

well - now that we have that sorted - Some companies make Lady-Sized Waders - for instance Redington - on clearance

Get the Simms or Orvis, Lady Breathable waders (stocking foot) and a pair of Thermal trousers; and a good pair of Merino Wool Socks! much better than Neoprene Waders! Try Aldi for a pair of lady thermal trousers, they're great.

Good advise, much better than those heavy/clunky neoprene outfits. The key is leave room for several thin layers of non absorbing thermals and you should be warm. Might even try the battery powered heated socks if the water is real cold...

I have some of the Wychwood allseason waders - neoprene legs/stocking foots, breathable top half, very reasonable price too. Not "big and clunky" at all, very comfortable and warm. Can't advise you on sizing though I'm afraid

I have to admit I was out at the weekend in 5 degrees (air not water) with nothing between me and my waders but a pair of fleece trousers - it wasn't enough.

You could always check out the 'Women in Waders' 2011 calender, theirs seem to fit well. And when you're finished with it please post to: .
