Default A Messy Affair...

Here's something nice and drab to dull down your exciting weekend

Seals fur is, more often than not a first choice when it comes to wet fly bodies... and with good reason - the translucency, the range of colours, transmitted light... and so on. Drab furs are hard to beat on their day though, and when a sombre looking non descript affair is required, nowt beats the range of light-to-dark natural tones and the 'spike' of body furs from the likes of Hare, Rabbit, and Squirrel....

Hook: B175 8,10,12 or 14
Tail: Hair of the chinny chin chin from some pesky varmint who's name escapes me. (Hare or Squirrel will do)
Rib: Oval gold
Body: Fox Squirrel
Body & Head Hackles: Grizzle Hen Dyed ginger
'Wing': As tail
Thread: UTC 'Brown Olive'
