Default A few more dabblers

Here's a few I've been tying over the last few nights. Any comments greatfully received, if it makes any difference they were tied on my own LAW copy

Superb dabblers . I really like the body in the Black Dabbler it really does look electric the way that the light catches it.

i love them,im trying my best and their starting to take shape so i must post a few photos.
do you roll one piece of bronze or do you cloak top and bottom.
also do you tie some with bronze tail or pheasant tail.
really nice dabblers once again.

Cheers for the comments gents. The body on the black dabbler is black seals fur with a pinch of UV ice dub. The rib is mirage tinsel stretched until it goes that purple 'UV' colour.

I tie the wings by folding a 15mm section into three and pinch loop this on top of the hook, as you tighten the loop it rolls round, fettle it a bit until it looks right. I then put a 5mm wide strip down each side, pinch looping each to cloak a bit underneath the hook (thanks must go to Gerry MacDonald who taught me the method). I always use pheasant tail, but have seen some with mallard which looks good as well.

Thank you for the info
I will order a box of the uv ice dubbing to play around with in dabblers & bumbles.

The method you use to wing dabblers is the exact same method I use, Its easy & the flies turn out really well
I must also thank Gerry for his sbson winging dabblers!

Super Dabblers Steve... "I'll have them", said Burglar Bill. Not sure about the Bibio though... I'm a bit too set in my ways to accept that red hackle
