Looking not too bad Scott
I would have used about half the amout of tippet for the tail though.
Im just getting back in to tying after an illness and have decided to go with tying up a lot of the irish flies in Malones book whether they look the same is yet to be seen though .

The general construction of the fly looks spot to me Scott. Would agree with Kev though... far too many tippets in the tail - reduce it by at least half. It looks a little fat in the body too... only a tiny amount though - either rag it well out with a velcro brush, or if you want the seals fur tight like that, then use a wee bit less.

As noted above, a bit heavy on the tail and body.....or a bit too thin on the wing, it's all about proportion. Colour combo in general is pretty nice though.

Too much colour clash for me, having said THAT, im not a trout..I'd like to see the colours merging into each other with a small clash or hot spot. Too dense on the tippet, I'd agree... but proportion good! You did ask!

I like it Scotty boy...it's a good tie to get you back into it again and it will work for sure on Harelaw mate.. But like the boys say just keep at it.. And scale it down just a wee bit you have defo improved on your tying Since the last time I looked mate just keep at it mate...Nice work.
