Yes Rob, but we only had time to do 1 fly each of the 2 patterns, so I demo'd 1, then Mike tied it.

Good going from both teacher and pupil. wish i'd had that sort of back up when I started rather than just a tatty old book written before bobbin holders were invented!

If I can quote someone's avatar "fly-tying is like mathematics, you can never know it all" which (for me at least) is the beauty of it, + it can get your creative juices going every now & again.

Good work there lads. With a tutor like John, I expect to see sublime creations by Christmas, Mike, and a fully dressed Thunder and Lightening by next June at the latest.
