epoxy eyes

hi folks!
i was wondering if anyone has had a go at making epoxy(or similar)eyes,
anybody have any tips or ideas? i think as fly tyers we are being ripped of something silly and as we are a pretty clever bunch of people somebody has bound to have had a go..... ive tried with clear and black tulip paint with a bit of success but its a bit of a fiddle and hard to get the same results everytime...i was thinking mould? maybe from silicone but ive never tried this and would need some pointers...maybe its a complete waste of time and money? will appreciate any input.

Nice idea but I would think a bit messy - and you would need a range of sizes of molds for different sized eyes...

A ready made pack only costs a few ££s - cheap enough really.

Dont bother with epoxy,Its messy and sometimes colours yellow.
Bug bond is the way to go.Making your own eyes can be fun and you can create custom ones that no one else has.Make my own big pike eyes and they pike seem to like them though
