Default Little Red Sedge

Wonder if anyone has the pattern for the Little Red Sedge, by Coachman and Skues? Please dont tell me that the body is made up of some rare bluetit feather or something.

Read a book recently by Leslie Magee on spiders and he claimed it was the best all round dry fly for freestone streams anywhere....

Cheers.

Hook: - No. 1 down-eyed, square bend (#14 in todays money )
Tying silk: - Hot orange waxed with brown wax
Body: - Darkest hare's ear
Rib: - Fine gold wire, binding down body hackle
Body Hackle: - Long deep red cock, with short fibres tied in at shoulder, and carried down to tail.
Wings: - Landrail wing, bunched and rolled, and tied in sloping well back over the tail.
Front Hackle: - Like body hackle, but larger and long enough to tie five or six turns in front of wing.

Landrail , not bluetit but just as bad rolled hen pheasant will do the job......

It sound worse than it is mate as it gives a tying description along with the materials used . It is really only a basic tie IMHO .
