Default cormorant clarification (big word)

i must admit it i love looking in other anglers fly boxs but ive noticed that a lot of guys tie there cormorants like mini lures personally i like using the tips of the marabou bloods my opinion only whats your views fine bloods or marabou tufts is it a lure or a nymph

defo a mini lure, never a nymph in its life.

Lure if its bright gaudy colours but if its tied in natural colours not so much a nymph but small fry/ minnow imitation.

I like the fluffy part of the feather, not the tips but I tye them in sparsely, a lot less than i would on a mini lure.

try using black rabbit instead off marabou they look good and the movement in the wing has a nice action when moved

Mmmm,

I think that when they are tied on a curved hook that Cormorants do resemble the folded/curved, undudlating body of an ascending buzzer. Maybe not perfectly but pretty convincingly when viewed from below?

Just a thought!

I concur, tufts if windy and th fish are high in the water too, just my prefference!
