Tie a tag of fluorescent orange/green floss on a wide gaped size 8-10 hook. Spin deer hair all the way up the shank from the tag to the hook eye and whip finish. Clip the deer hair into a small ball (pellet!) shape.

Job done.

To fish: gink up and fish like a booby: i.e. on a fast sinker with a short leader.

Hook is a size 6 Kamasan B160, Thread Veniards cream kevlar, Tail 6/8 strands no4 globrite floss. Rear 2/3 of body white deer hair, compacted, Front is Lime green, Peach or whatever flourescent deerhair again compacted. Trim underside as flat as posssible with scissors, first. Then, I use curved serated scissors to shape the main upper body to a tapered coffee bean shape, finish head with superglue as varnish doesn't take so well on kevlar. John
