Default Tying jungle cock cheeks on buzzers?

It's driving me bonkers. Till now, I've been tying biot cheeks on my buzzers - you know the score - tie in at the back of the thorax, build up the thorax, fold biots up to the eye and tie off. Varnish the whole lot. But how do you tie in JC cheeks on varnished buzzers? I've been trying that "biot method" but there must be a better way. I'm finding the splits I'm using just too short, or they break when I tie them off at the eye.

How do you do yours?

Cheers,

Neil

He's a tad ham-fisted for me.Thread's too thick and should have trimmed the stripped quill prior to tying in, and taken off the excess surrounding the nail feather before he offered up.
However, it's a method which I hope will help.
You should be able to split-up the larger nail feathers - 4 pieces per nail - to make two buzzers per nail.

My apologies.Ham-fisted was without question the wrong word to use.
Perhaps, just a tad more refinement required.
The video is splendid.

And of course, we all have our favourite ways of doing things.... Interesting point about 5 minutes in to this video where the unsurpassable Davie ties in his quill... but I don't do it that way meself.
