I like it.

One question - did you find it hard tying a neat head with the foam and minkie strip? I haven't tied these before but would like to try my hand at them

Just pull the foam back and build your head as normal.

Hi Guys,

I fish these quite a bit and the only thing that I would say which would probably help it fish better, is I think you will need it to be tied on a longer shank hook. As it is I think you will find the Mink strip will want to float on the surface. With the longer shank hook + some turns of lead wire at the bottom of the body , the hook shank digs in straight away and sinks the minkie strip. It might be worth a thought any way.

Regards

Steve

Like the look of that one, nicely done. Any chance of the dressing?

Cheers

I agree with Steve on this one, 4 turns of lead wire on the top of the bend, bug bond in place then tie the fly as normal.

Cheers
