Default hooks

hi all ive been useing knap shrimp hook but im finding more and more that havent been formed around the eye any one no of a patten of hook thats like the knap ones ?

Try the partridge Czech Nymph hook, very similar in shape and colour to the Knapek hooks.

A champion hook that but for some unknwn reason they always appear to be on the large size - or is that me?

yes I find they are a size above what is stated on the box, i.e a size 12 is more like a 10.

Regardless of whether they come up big or small, I think the Partridge hooks are much better value than the Knapek and haven't noticed a difference in terms of hooking fish. The sizes are "fixed" and won't change just be aware that a Czech Nymph 16 is more like a 14 made by another manufacturer.
I like the black finish and the strength of the hook is great.

With the Klinkhamer and Klinkhamer extreme hooks, it comes out more like 2 sizes when compared against Hayabusa Living Larvae which are the hooks Fulling MIll use for Klinkhamers but the Partridge are still the best for that specific job.
