Default Bronze Mallard size?

Hi all,
I am getting ready to place an order for Bronze Mallard feathers to be used for dabblers (not muddlers). ( never tied one before ) What size should I get? S,M,L Will be tying them on #10 & #12 to start.
These will be from Sparton Fly if that matters.
Cheers

Cloaking the mallard the full way around can be a pain to start with mate. I do mine in 3 stages two slips for the sides then one on top. Can be frustrating to start with but just wait to you start muddlers they'll test the patience.

Yup, I screwed up the original post and Greenock busted me. I have 2 football games on, working on an order, reading old muddler post and typing my new one... to many balls in the air.
Emerger.. Summer is on the way out, only going to be 90 today , still not in the mood to start painting (hated doing that)
OK, changed my order to medium. I have no JC, not going to spend $150 for one cape.
Maybe I will twist up a black claret half hog red holo muddler milanistic dabbler gold oval rib jc variant
I can always depend upon one of you guys kicking me in the junk

Greenock & Emerger thanks for the tips!

the way greenock said is one of the ways to do it but muddl' i mean dabblers
go with the saying theres more than one way to sling a cat.. try all of them till it stops' i mean till your comfortable with a way of doing it.. have a butchers at davie's
blimey! only 90! ..you must be freezing
look on ebay for a cheaper cape if ever you want one theres a few that will ship..

Aye, 'twas 60 when I woke up, a wee bit chilly all things considered. Its going to be to cold to go swimming soon.

I have seen Davie spin the Bronze, looks very nice. Also seen it tied in on here as 3 pieces as Greenock suggested. we shall see what happens in a couple of weeks when I get the feathers and to spending big money on a JC, wont do it unless I can touch it or have someone I really trust approve it. Maybe I should get a brood of jungle cocks in the back yard and support my habit
