North Country Angler is on a distinguished road
Default Thursday night is concreting night!

Stuck on a late in north Manchester while a load of Welshmen powerfloat the first floor of me building. What's a bored project manager to do?
Make like Scratch and tie flies on company time, that's what!

I need a bit of practice at this though, not got the mobile flytyer thing down yet.......brought a load of gear with the intention of knocking up a few grayling bugs and ended up with the wrong size beads for me hooks, and all sorts of other bits which don't go together well. Should have had kippers for breakfast instead of a hastily toasted teacake........

Anyways, I've tied a few horrors and taken a load of badly white balanced photos. This is the best of a very bad bunch. Sorry. Thought it might amuse you

Quite nifty... as gay little river stuff goes.

Wot's the hook though, man? It looks sooooooo 2008 (hand over mouth - spluttering and cackling) FFS, haven't you cottoned on to the new Zapspatff DGCLK 240000000000000005000000070000026500000011111-c hooks from Czechlobania yet? (hand over mouth - spluttering and cackling, again). They're not out over here yet.... but I know the boss

No it's a Geschurtzenfocker ZXC black nickel 4x ultra fine wire BL with titanium core and non magnetic-field tracking device, size 14.

Apparently all the Eastern Europeans are using them and well all know that they are infinitely better nymph fishers than us. So by tying my flies on them, I will automatically become world class and display a predilection for dangerously deep wading in raging icy torrents and drinking sh*t lager.
And hey, Kamasans are sooooo stillwater, don't you think?

Pah! Since my last post, I've moved on to the Kungjitsu Ky 90000003000050000600007000-b from Okinawa. There isn't actually a tangible hook... takes years of training to master using 'them'... it's all very Zen. I'd explain, but you're obviously still absorbed with those east european fools.

Anyway, ye best go and czech, oops, check on those Welsh guys.. make sure they're not locked in a cupboard somewhere, touching each other inappropriately.

P.S. What do you think of the Di-Hoky-doky-gillygillyossenfeffermitsubusa H-515292868490490-D offset nano-barb?
