The question is not "should one mask the point?" (No, IMHO) but "can you see the picture?"
Yes I can, because it's a JPEG (not a TIFF) entitled vice0001.jpg
Al, you seem to be able to produce JPEGs already. Perhaps Photobucket made the conversion for you?
No web browser that I am aware of can display TIFF files. You are limited to JPEGs, GIFs (good at flat graphics and animation, pants at photographs and continuous tone) and PNG (pings) that don't seem to have caught on that well, in spite of better image quality than JPEGs.
Glossary for all those who don't speak fluent Digital image Acronym:
JPEG, Joint Photographic Expert Group, most common file type for web images.
GIF, Graphic Image Format (self explanatory compared to the others), uses a limited palette of colours to reduce file size. Tiny files size, capable of running as animated images agnostic of browser platform.
TIFF, Tagged Image File Format, lossless compression format for high quality digital images. Best for high quality print images, not supported by web browsers. Large file sizes.
PNG, Portable Network Graphics. New file format on the web block. Lossless, allegedly. Good for onscreen but not suitable for print graphics. Macintosh screen grabs now save as PNG files.
Hope that's clear to everybody now.
