Default my first lures tied today

just started tying today so i thought i would start of with some lures, tried to copy ones that i had in my box, have to start somewhere, any comments welcome,

Nothing wrong with those, I never use lures but have seen plenty in the past, I think yours will compete with any, cheers....

Great first shot mate. What size is the hook and make on the first fly looks like the fritz could be taking up most of the gape you might not get a good hook hold.

size 8 b175 kamasan hook m8, could may be use smaller fritz, like micro or something, it is all trial and error at the moment until i get them right, all advice is welcome

A good hook I have found for lures is the kamasan 160 or if you want a heavy weight hook a quick look in a coarse fishing will get you the same hooks in a heavy wire style.
