Default Orkney Peach information?

Hi all,

Can someone fill me in on the colour Orkney Peach as related to fly tying materials? Is it a retail dye, a process or a proprietary method of producing the specific product?
Cheers

I wouldn't swear to it, but I think "Orkney Peach" is a colour that is/was exclusive to Artifly - I've not seen any other online retailers advertising such a colour on their website. I'm also uncertain if Artifly are still trading, I expect other forum members will know . . . . . .

I always perhaps mistakenly thought it was a mixture of Glow Bright Flosses.

Orkney peach - chop and mix glo-brite flosses No's 7 & 8 in about equal proportions to create dubbing. A little G-B No 9 can be added for variation.

You wont be far away with a 50/50 mix of 7/8 floss. chopped and blended in a coffee or soup chopper. but bear in mind we do like to be spot on when we blend Orkney Peach so the perfect mix is still kept rather quiet.

Cheers guys,
I checked with Wellbank / Angus Angling and they will ship to the states.
I am going to also try and dye up a bit of roe & white deer to see how that goes...

Now if only the tech geeks would stop breaking the forums.....
