Default Hot orange damsel eyes

Hi All,

I fished Avington at the weekend, and when all else failed (as the light faded), I tried an olive damsel with almost fluorescent red/orange eyes, which immediately attracted half a dozen fish. Question is, where can I buy eyes like these? Don't know where to start looking?

Any advice would be great. Ta. John

Are you talking about dumbbells for the eyes?
If you are then they could possibly be something like this:
Hot Orange 4.8mm Dazl Dumbbells :: Funky Fly Tying

They are quite large so might be to big for what your looking for.

I use the bead chain eyes got mine from lakeland. Do hot orange beads as well.

I was thinking smaller (more along the lines of that bead rope stuff), and slightly pinker. I'll see if I can find the fly in question and take a photo.

I do quite like dumbells though for winter fishing, so I might give those a go as well.

Thanks. J

That's what I was looking for, not sure they have quite the colour though, it'd be quite handy if they had pictures of them all.

Click the image to open in full size.

That's the actual fly in question. The beads are a little redder than I'd remembered - any ideas?

Cheers. John
