Default GUTERMANN OLD SILK THREAD

Hello, I'm looking for old silk thread of gutermann (in carton spool) for make dry flies bodies, here in Spain, is very usually make bodies with this threads, somobody know were I can get them, any know them?

I attach a picture of some spools..

It's not a product that I've ever encountered before & obviously you've exhausted all the embroidery suppliers over there. From the way it's spooled it many well have originated in Japan as Gutterman are a wholesaler for smaller manufacturers, although they often have particular products made to their own spec.

The largest market for this type of material is in the U.S. so you may well find it through various embroidery forums over there.

There is a place over there that supplies a very shiny super-grade floss silk popular with many salmon-fly tiers, Japanese Embroidery Center | if they don't have it they may know someone that has.
