Default Something old, something new

Replenishing my fly boxes for next year. Here are a couple. The first I call my sooty cruncher, its been my most productive fly this year but the ones in my box are looking a bit abused so tied a new batch.

I wasn't happy with any of the damsel nymphs in my fly boxes, the ones I tied for this season didn't work out I tied them with eyes made from line melted with a lighter and they swam upside down, I wasn't happy with the colour either. Hopefully these ones will work better next year.

Hope the pics are OK, I really need a camera with a better macro function!

Comments welcomed

Cheers Mot

Overwhelming response to these two, doesn't bode well for the winter tying season

Nice fly's. A tip for the eyes, always tie them underneath the eye of the hook or the fly will swim up side down. I have seen loads of video's tying the eyes on the top of the hook which is wrong if you want it to swim the right way up.
