It's a great pic... brooding and moody.

Damnit, you told me the names would be changed to protect the innocent.

Truly, it was like one of those moments from the old westerns or war films.

"No lads, you go on, leave me, I'm done for"

"Don't be insane Jim, we can't abandon you like this in this unforgiving landscape you'll surely perish"

"No, no go on, I'm useless to you now, there'll be nae fishin' the day"

"But Jim, this is madness, talk sense man, you're delirious"!

"I'm finished lads, there's nae hope"

"Oh, alright then, seeya"

"Lads.....er....lads"

Wee Jimmy. A true hero.

Still, the ambulance was there quick sharp (a little toytown one) so we bundled him off to A&E and got on with the job of worrying the beasts of the Tarn....

The light wasn't great most of the day, but as so often happens at a resonable altitude, breaks appear in the cloud and transform a dark flat landscape into a photographers dream... as ususal, luck rather than judgement sees you clear to a decent shot or two... fire the shutter enough, and bracket a bit, and Bob's yer uncle.

Well done lad... good to see you taking your own advice You did get Alex and me to sign the model release forms, didn't you?

As for Jimmy, I was racked with guilt for days, I really was. I would wake up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night with visions of me delivering him back to his beloved who, on hearing the full details for the first time says... "So, let me get this right... you put him in the ambulance, and you went out fishing?" "Er... well... I guess you had to be there, Bonnie... "

However, when I delivered her wee soldier back to her (crutches an' aal), Bonnie took it all in her stride
