Thank you all. To win against such strong opposition is very gratifying indeed. I should say, however, that the quality of the winning photograph owed more to the subject than the photographer ... I just happened upon the most severe, and most photogenic, winter here on Speyside for thirty years!

No way John ... amazing shot, it's very lasting that image.

Taking the trouble of getting out when everyone else is whinging it's too cold, seeing/finding/knowing the site, spoting/framing and getting the shot - well, others didn't and you did - lots of skill involved and if yer fly aint on the water etc!!!

I love it - Christmas Card potential?
