Default November Caption Competition Closed

Thanks to everyone who has entered - this competition is now closed.

There have been some crackers and some crockers!

The Fly Forums management will now deliberate, cogitate and likely have a dram or two before announcing the winners in a couple of days time so watch this space........

There'll be a new competition coming soon so watch out for your chance to win your very own "Christmas Bonus" from the Fly Forums!!!

Here's a new caption competition for you all to enter. The chance to win yourself 1 of 20 pairs of genuine Polaroid Polarized sunglasses we have to give away just by coming up with a witty caption for the photograph you'll find in the article above. Enter your caption in the comments section or thread below!

Thumbs up The results!!!

OK folks here are the results after much deliberation and four separate judges choosing their favourites here at Fish and Fly HQ.

The winners of a pair of Polaroid Sunglasses each are.................

FatOldGit - "Angler shuns new style float tube!"

mrtrout - "The way he's casting, I'm glad I put my shades on!"

savage take - "hope this one's not on the path at Linlithgow next season!"

ae1whia - "Anglers turn their backs on new boats at Swan reservoir"

rhodietiger - "If I can just catch that swan then I could flog the feathers on the forum classifieds (once I get 50 posts)!!!"

3lbgrayling - "They told me this was Swanswater fishery but they wouldn't let me in."

AndrewMWalker - "New stealth float tube released. Move unseen disguised as a perfectly innocent looking swan, yellow flippers included!"

REIDY10_0 - "Swan Lake - I gave up the ballet to concentrate more on my fly fishing"

partridge and pennel - "Flycasting tuition - swan 2 one"

Welshlynx - "The new Environment Agency uniform is met with mixed opinions from anglers"

missed it - "You need some polarized sunglasses to see properly. I'M NOT AN UGLY DUCKLING!!!"

tack4 - "fowl hooked"

zeolite - "Polaroid launch new cynature range"

John Gray - "And they said I'd never catch a Great White..."

BlueFrog - WOW - Thats a WHOOPER and a half"

WelshOsprey - "A quick nudge on this guy behind me and I will be able to check whether these new polaroids really will let me see to the bottom."

jim doyle - "Ok come and get some cdc if you think you're hard enough!!!"

uhhulu - "Caught any? Just swan."

Fluffchuker - "Some people say he can gut a trout with one swipe of his beak!
Others say he'll break your arm with one flap!
All I know is...he's called the Stignet!!!!!"

Creaky Knees - "Not quite what Polaroid meant by 'A Birds Eye View'!!"

Thanks to everyone who entered and we will get the winners glasses out in the post by next week so you can look cool under the glare of the Christmas lights!

New competition coming soon...........................................
