Photo Competition Rules
Please see below the rules of the fly fishing photo competition. Please start a new thread for each entry and members are welcome to comment on the entry.
1. This competition is open to fly forums members only and all entries have to be related to fly and or game fishing. Admin's decision regarding qualifying photos to be final.
2. There will be 12 monthly competitions with winners decided by Fish & Fly whose decision shall be final. The 12 winning entries will then go forward for the annual prize to be voted for by members.
3. Only up to 3 photos to be entered each month per member and photos can only be entered once.
4. All photos submitted must have been taken by the member/entrant.
5. Deadline for entries will be midnight on last day of given month.
6. Only amateur photographers may enter.
7. If you are under 16 years of age, you must obtain your parent or guardian's permission before entering the competition.
8. By entering you agree that Fish & Fly and any competition sponsors may use the photo for publicity purposes and/or a Forum Calendar but not for commercial gain without your consent.
9. You must supply full details of your name and address etc. as reasonably required by Fish & Fly, and comply with all rules to be eligible for the prize(s). No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.
10. Your entry must be entirely your own original work, not defame anybody nor breach any copyright.
11. If your photograph features any person or people, they should be aware they were being photographed and permission should be obtained from all involved (or their parents/guardians if under 16) for their photograph to be submitted in a competition. If it is clear that the people are not aware of their picture being taken or are embarrassed in any way in any entry we receive, then Fish & Fly reserves the right to disqualify the entry.
12. This competition is not open to Fish & Fly employees or contractors or any people involved in the running of the competition, or their immediate family members.
13. Fish & Fly reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside its control.
14. If a winning entrant is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so, Fish and Fly reserves the right to either offer the prize to the next best entry, or to re-offer the prize in any future competition.
15. Fish & Fly reserves the right to disqualify any entry which breaches any of these rules or to withhold a prize if in its opinion entries do not reach the required standard.
16. These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
