Default New caption competition

Sponsors for this new caption competition are our friends at self-build and renovation specialists Buildstore but even they may have difficulty getting this property into shape!

Click the image to open in full size.
The location is Spain and the fly fisherman is Juan Del Carmen a professional guide now resident in Australia. He is fishing for large mouth black bass with a popper.

Give us your funniest and best captions for the photo above by the closing date of Thursday February 3rd 2011 at midday (amended to close early thanks to 10 pages of entries already!!!) and the winner will win a copy of the superb book called ANGLING WITH THE FLY - Flies & Anglers of Derbyshire and Staffordshire by J.N. Watson.

HM Royal Marines today unveiled the latest in grappling hook technology. Collapsing to a remarkable 32" the equipment allows hooks attached to camouflaged lines to be fired at any stationary or moving object so enabling commando-loaded dingy’s to approach their target without using oars or motors.

Tests proved difficult. Corporal Jones was sadly struck by lightning during one night-time exercise here at HM training ship HMS Driftabout but engineers at development partners Imperial College expect the multi-million technology to be operational in six months time.
