This rod is the rod for you if you are serious about czech nymphing or wet fly fishing. Before buying it i tried out an orvis western III 10ft 4wt and thought it was a great rod but then i loaded up the streamflex and within the backstroke and then the touching of water i knew i had found my new best friend. For £215 it was treble the price of my previous rod but i have been assured this is a fair price for a rod. Its first outing was a difficult one one the clyde in -5 with a foot of snow on the bank. It handled the short and medium distance czech nymph tactics with complete ease. It has 2 since further outings and i am still happy about its performance. I have yet to christen it with a fish but can only fish weekends at the moment becuase of the close season and my local river doesnt hold grayling. I believe that it will fish dries with complete ease and also it will be an absoloute dream for fishing wet flies escalator style.

I also reckon that it will be a good streamer rod and also it will be a good wet and dry fly still water rod

Once i have had a chance to pressure test it for a a few days on the trot (Mid march) and i will return to fisnish of my review of how it feels on the arm after a few days and a few fish
