Drycast thigh waders
Drycast thigh waders
Best waders so far?

Thumbs up Drycast thigh waders

British-made waders!

I've bought a pair of the DRYCAST (apologies if this review mentions PROCAST - that was a posting mistake) waders this season, and, although I haven't done as much fishing as I would like, I have worn these on the majority of outings so far and found them to be as described on the website.
So far so good - They are loads better than the Baleno waders which were basically a piece of cr*p and didn't last 1 season before leaking like a sieve...past the point where they could be realistically repaired. A poor comparison perhaps - previously I had some Hardy ones which lasted for years before perishing, but these were about half the price I paid about 15 years ago for them

Having said that, these aren't the cheapest waders on the market, but the quality is v.good, they are light, and seem well made.
I haven't put them under stress yet (for example, falling in, falling over...) but I feel confident so far that these may be the business when it comes to waders.

That's the reason I haven't scored them 10 out of 10 for everything because they haven't gone through a complete season yet.

But I like them to the extent that I'm thinking about investing in some fullbody neoprene ones for the rarer occasions when I need them.

I'll update this as the year goes on, and would be interested in anyone else's experience.

Arrow Price of thigh waders

up to size 12 thirty-five quid (includes P + P),
for giants over that size add another fiver.

The neoprene version come in at double that price.

(all this info is also on the website)

I also forgot to mention that these little babies turned up with studded soles, for which I did not pay an extra tenner!

Are you sure about that price?

Procast waders (your review pair) £59.95 according to web-site. Drycast version is £34.95.

Arrow Whoops - Drycast

Yeah, you're right they are the drycast, not the Procast.

I've changed the review title.

I'm beginning to wish I hadn't bothered with this....

thanks Mick - I was thinking I was the only one who rated these...British too. Amazing.

(note that I restrained myself from making any cheeky remarks (like, for example, "I didn't know they made 'em for Water Buffalo" )

Default waders

I purchased a pair of these about 2 months ago. I have large legs so run of the mill waders won'f fit. I was impressed with them. The company had to wait a couple of weeks for the boots to come in but once they did, mine were made and shipped in two days. I'd recommend them no problem

Default Pro-cast chest waders

I've had a pair of these with studs moulded in soles for a few years now without any problems, wear mostly for spring fishing when banks are muddy or snow covered when cleated soles give more grip than my felt soles.
Found the company very helpful on phone when ordering & waders arrived quickly (std size), would recommend easily, good quality boots & well made. And British as well !
Price has gone up since i got mine, now £79.99 inc studs vat & postage but still would consider to be good value
