I bougt these a couple of weeks ago to replace a pair of Daiwa thigh waders which had split in both boots within a few weeks of each other.
I specifically wanted thigh waders but something a bit more durable because the Daiwas lasted less than 3 years.
Anyway I found these.
Neoprenethighwaders
I phoned the company for a chat about sizes and they were very helpful. They recommended choosing the same size as my shoe size. Because they assemble the waders in the UK, there is also the option of choosing your boot size and deciding on L or XL neoprene uppers.
Unfortunately, they aren't British made any more; boots and uppers both come from the far east but are put together over here.
I waited a couple of weeks for them to arrive because they were waiting for a delivery of boots.
On first impression, they look good. A nice dark green colour with reinforced knees and a loop with velcro fastenings to go around a belt and keep them up. The seams and joins between wellies and uppers all seemed solid and thoroughly done.
I've been out in them three times this week and most importantly, they don't leak!
They fit well, are comfortable and the neoprene seems a lot softer and better quality than my previous pair.
The main difference is the boots. They are really light, soft and flexible. Very easy to walk in and they give a good feel of what's underfoot.
Overall, I'm very pleased so far and at £69.95 delivered (with a 1 year guarantee), not that much more expesive than run of the mill waders.
Hopefully, they'll be more durable than my last pair.
