I bought these boots from Fishtec for my birthday last December 2009 for £39.99. Iv'e used these extensively for nearly a year.

I got a size 10, but wish I could get a 10 and a half, which they don't do!! The Neo lining tends to squash your toes a bit, but saying that you don't need thick socks on, even when it's cold and there's ice in the margins.

I use mine in conjuction with bib and brace trousers and ususally stand in the water. Because of the neoprene, you don't get the leeching effect of losing body heat from your feet and don't feel how cold the water is.

The boots are fitted with a calf strap and quick release buckle lock. Self cleaning sole and steel shank insert, making the boot quite durable.

The only critisisms I have are, No half sizes, because of the neo fill in the boot. No boot bumper on the heel, to kick the boots off, which means you end up pulling with your hands, or invest in a boot jack? Iv'e also lost the cotton cover off one of the Neoprene insoles, which just peeled away.

Overall, a good boot which is let down slightly, by inadequacies in design and function. Would I recomend these to anyone? Yes I would, because I love having warm feet.

Best Regards

Stuart

Well I think it's fair to say, I've had my wear out of these. Fishing last week, I noticed a leak in the left boot, but couldn't find the hole. Then when taking them off noticed a split between the upper and the sole, only visible when you flex the boot.

Ok it's been some time (Dec 09) since I first bought them. The soles are self cleaning and the boots are good insulators against cold feet. That was what I was after.

Problem areas are: The thin sole covers inside the boot, just come away and there's no heel bumper to make it easier for removal.

There are no half sizes, so if you are a 10 as I am, then you will probably need an 11 for comfort.

The Calf buckles catch fly line all the time. This is worse on blowy days and does get on your nerves. I did think about cutting them off, but they do have a purpose, so they remain.

Would I get another pair?? Yes if they did a half size, otherwise no. Worth £39.99 yes because I never experienced a cold foot , not once. Would have been nice to get a free welly bag too.

I hope this helps.

Best regards

Stuart
