I fished this Flourocarbon (FC), on a windy day last week for the first time, having tried several other brands. I needed a confidence boost!!

I bought a 50mtr spool of 8lb Sightfree Extreme, on recommendation from a friend and I think this is a shot, in the right direction. The spool comes fitted with a full width rubber retainer to prevent loose coils falling off the spool, which is a nice little touch.

I peeled off 18ft of FC and tied on two droppers using a four turn water knot, then tied on the flies using a blood knot and started fishing. This line laid straight on the water, showing no sign of coiling.

A very supple FC which suited me very well, fishing Lures, on an Intermediate line, then later in the day, small Gold and Silverheads just sub-surface on a Floater.

With several shock takes and lunges, this line proved a worthy contender, showing it's ability to cope with casting size 10 Flash Stragglers into the wind and showing no sign of twist on the leader.

Well worth the £10 just to see what you can get, in this case, good quality Flourocarbon.

Best Regards

Stuart

Apologies, not work, associated.......

Not saying it's a bad product, although i think the dimeters of this particular Fluro are on the high side for the BS. Just have to wonder why this user is always airflo obsessed and always in a posative way..........

I work for TATA, the tea bags are great, the jaguars speak for themselves, the steel is awesome.

Oh and by the way, I use Riverge or Mirage.

If you're fishing peaty rivers, you can't beat anal hair.
Tried frog hair...no good.

Well, Still using this Sightfree Extreme. Not had any drama's whatsoever. Even with large fish and casting knots in my leader, still held strong.

Like the spool tidy too, no loose coils or stray line in your pocket.

Regards

Stuart
