Just a word of warning to anyone selling tackle etc as a few forum members have had problems with a certain forum user buying items and saying he will send cash through the post but never does and tries to get stuff without paying.

He is a fraudster so don't let him waste your time. I'm sure a few of you will know who he is already. Watch out for people like this.

My name is Alex and I'm sure there are others on here with that name and I for one wouldn't want people to think I was a scammer if I tried to buy something from another forum member.

I would suggest this information is shared by PM, I think you'll find previous threads of this nature have degenerated into a lynch mob and then got pulled by the admin.

No point in posting that if you are not willing to go all the way and name the culprit USD.....I take it you've been stung by this guy...

Sorry to here you have been ripped off USD, but feel you have to name these people you are doing for the other members you don't know you it is!
Also its good to here that there are still alot of trusting people left in this world! but maybe for future reference people should not send goods until the funds have arrived or been cleared by the bank!

I have edited my inital post to remove the first part of the username of the culprit, basically what I am saying is be on your guard. If anyone wants to know who it is PM me, I don't want anyone else to be screwed over by him.

I think most folk would be a wee bit cautious when it comes to buying or selling fishing tackle to complete strangers on a forum,that goes without saying.If I was ripped off by someone on here...I wouldny hesitate to out the guy in public,why do you feel it should be done privately....

I don't want to name in public on here as I think the post would soon be removed of the forum and also the person that ripped me off has all my personal details etc and I don't want any hassle.

I think you've gone about this the wrong way USD. First you give a name, then you edit it out. You make unsubstantiated claims that other (un-named) members have had trouble with this user. Name, shame and give proof.

On the contrary, I'm sure the forum admin would take fraud and possible identity theft very seriously indeed if it were proven to be the case.
