Default STICKLE BACK ON THE FLY

i want legendary status as well so to better your bullhead quest I'm going to target stickle back instead. actually it was my first ever fly caught fish when i was about 8 i had some wet flys had no idea what i was doing and i accidentally squeered one so there legend or what

it's on my to do list. how about loach? the ultimate prize, or a deliberately targeted european eel.

Not quite, but worthy of a mention. I too caught my first stickie on a fly. A fly of my own tying also aged 7-8. My 'fly' was...oh you all know it-a bent shiny pin, attached to a cotton line. Simple toss it in and jig it around and hey wallop! I was as suprised as the stickies to be looking eye to eye. Happy days 1962 .

Draycote some time in the 70s ,just come in for lunch by the lodge,lunch in car SWMBO going for it ,loook in the water and their is a shoal of minnows ,find smallest fly in box ,dibble it , transfixed with the pursuit.
Guess who pulls into the boat dock ,yes its God himself ,Mr B church just come in from his AT sponsored limit bag ,Hi hows it going says God ,yeah fine was the reply ,lorks felt a right prat!
