Default big river/estuary carp whilst mullet fishing

what a mornings mullet fishing i had today.... not one mullet...but a 6lb carp first followed by a 13lb fully scaled followed up with a 16.1lb mirror then a final 6.6lb. then lost one. all in 2 hours fishing on the fly on the river/estuary with my winston 5wt.
my new phone decided to change to video half way through but at least i have some record to look back on but not the best quality, the youtube links are here of the big ones

They look really fit fish Darren, river carp always look better than their still water bretheren. What pattern did they take?

I did not know that Carp would head for brackish water.

ive had loads over 16 years on the fly mainly from lakes, but these from a estuary were something special.

not 3lb this time . i stepped up to 6 lb after my loss a few weeks ago, maybee why i had no mullet!!!
