I'm planning on fly fishing my local river for chub and perch this year now that my casting is adequate

unlike a couple of years ago where I could barely land a fly on the water!
I've caught chub on daddies and stimulators ... any big, bushy and/or leggy will get a look in. The problem with small dries on my river is that bleak will have a go at them ... I'm going to try a flip big flies under the trees and bushes and keep an eye out for the rising fish I kept seeing last year in the evenings. A big CDC+Elk sedge imitation should (!) do the trick.
Plus I'm tying up loads of streamer baitfish patterns for the perch ...
