Default A BIG THANK YOU

a would like to say a big thank you to the forum, without it a wouldnt have met three absolute gentlemen who have been kind enough to pass on some of their vast knowledge in pike, i have been after a 20lb pike for near enough 15 year and actually gave up fly fishing for 2-3 year and got in to deadbaiting for them, a had two fish close with one at 19-4 and another at 19-12 and many top end doubles but just couldnt get that 20! last year a met up with 3 legends and started talking to them about pike and flyfishing for them especially and a learned more in a few hours talking to these guys than a had in 15 year of piking and reading countless books, videos, dvd,s ect, the three guys being alex wilkie, alex cairnie, and wullie c from alderneuk, a m8 of mine made a quote to me the last day ( some guys talk the talk but not many actually walk the walk) believe me these guys walk the walk and are pike legends IMHO, alex wilkie (the rook) spent two days on the water with me and next night a got a 20, he gave me the confidence in those two days that a wasnt doing anything wrong and just to keep going and it would come , a did say when a got a 20 a would give up the pike! lol , that 20 has only stoked the fire! thanks again guys stu Click the image to open in full size. wilkie Click the image to open in full size. my 20
