Default Thanks Dougie

I dropped a pm to Dougie ,firstly to thank him for his posts on pike flies because I think the guy is a fabulous and innovative tyer and for the help with queries posted on fora by him.Second reason for pm'ing Dougie was to ask for help with pike leaders as I have been through the stepped down leader ,the straight leader etc etc and used pike traces and different tippets but was never really happy with the build which incorporated at times loops ,swivel and sometimes pike spinning traces up front.
Just gotta say a big thank you Dougie for the coms you sent and the complete leader setup inc one of your own pike flies .
I found out lately that you had a lot of stuff on yourself inc your new project with FM so I do appreciate the time you put into helping me out,
Ferg

Dougie has also offered me advice on pike fly fishing which is much appreciated.
Dougie is setting a good example that we should all follow which ever discipline of fishing you follow, I am allways impressed with the quality of advice, help and the trust of buying and selling on the forum.
People like Dougie is what makes the forum work.

Cheers.

It sure has Dougie ,having seen your fly in the flesh so to speak it got me rooting through materials and finding some EP fibre.I tried your pattern and even though its not got the length or the full body of yours I will feel confident fishing it and get me a few more hanks of synthetics to do some more .I will post it on the fly-tying thread and maybe you will have a look .
