Hi Stylie. I have been in contact with joey1 in the past. A miserable git to be sure.. bloody foreign nationals coming over here and taking all our fish...
I will be tapping into his knowledge for sure, but as you can't trust them foreigners as far as you can throw them i thought i'd ask the rest of the forum....
Joey1 if you read this... prove me wrong and lets go catch some 30Lbers on Corrib...

Both of these guides are well worth a call.
If it's Ballyquirke at this time of the year, pay attention to light levels and water clarity and the location of the takes. Your angling log will figure it out for you over 2 - 3 sessions.

Thanks mate. I didn't mention Corrib as that is a whole other days work... I know a wee bit about pike on Corrib, but its the wee lakes that i am interested in at the minute, as i don't have the boat on Corrib (yet) and only want to use my wee inflatable for the craic... I spoke to Jim before now that i think of it.. I love the lakes up in Kiltimagh.. Believe it or not my first pike on the fly was up that way, from the shore at dusk, and it weighed over 20LB... frightened the sh1te out of me as i was on my own and it was pretty much black dark when i got it in.
Any chance of your angling log from the last 2-3 seasons??? Save me having to wait and discover all those rubbish locations myself??

there may be a pint or two in it for ya....
cheers
JJ
