Default One for perch ??

Hi Guys

Hoping this chain eyed, woolly #ugger pattern will prove popular with the perch in warmer months ?? Olive or pink ?

If flies are like hard/rubber lures then the "hotter" the colour the better!

Get some tied in firetiger my man!

Nice tyings englander.
The olive certainly looks good for rainbows.
I do well with a goldhead damsel similar to those.
As for Perch, I once had one at 2lb on a montana nymph and have had a few on cats whiskers so those patterns should work too.

Many years ago I used to regularly fish for perch and found a great wee tying was as a GRHE tied of a medium shank hook, a hackle of pearly fritz and a gold head.

I think the shape, colour and sparkle made it seem like a pin fry and was very effective.

Give it a bash.

p.s

Englander need to head down the canal sometime....just bought myself a waggler rod
