As said in the thread I support the really big flies thery for the big ones...the bigger fish can be suprisingly lazy and don t bother with small flies. I found that larger booby minkies get a good reaction but the best fly I ve seen is just a massive streamer pattern with purple feathers and loads of sparkle and crystal flash.
I had a strange day once when lots of bass were following but not taking and I tried a big bushy daddy longlegs and they repeatedly nailed it.
Also if you get a follow from a really big bass but no take rest it and then try again..and change pattern as it is amazing how many times they can look before finally deciding on one they like.
