Hi Guys,

Like tevion I also live in Leeds and getting set up for my first season fly fishing for pike so am sending Martin a PM for his info. I tied up my first 'diy' fly last night from some odds and ends from my fly box. My venue choice for starters will be the good old Leeds Liverpool canal which has plenty of jacks - and a few lunkers in the boat yards.

pm's replied to good luck lads plenty of bank space on both venues, a pair of waders and some nice flys and you'll be well aware, some large perch in 1 of the venues too i've had them to just over 2lb on small crankbaits but they've followed 6"+ jerkbaits in as well so i'd imagine they'd follow big marabou flys with some crystal flash in there

There's some lovely Jacks in the boatyard and under the bridge in Silsden (you can buy a day ticket for the leeds/liverpool canal at Wetnets in Keighley for a couple of quid).

good luck!
