Default Cornish Hols

Hi Guys,
Doing the family thing on the beach in August..I'm in Looe and never been to this area before...Any areas i should fish or avoid ??? I've got a couple of fly outfits to take for salt as well as spinning gear...I'm game for any type of fishing, but wanted to try salt fishing on the fly in clear water...I've done it in the US and loved it...I salt fish up here on the Lincs coast but the water is coloured...We get small Bass schoolies and flatties...So a chance to maybe site fish in salt gets my juices going...Any and all info appreciated...thanks...(hope this is the correct forum)

The South Coast beaches / coves are generally clearer than the North Coast surf beaches - it might be worth your while investigating some local estuaries, incoming and outgoing tide.

Good luck!

Have a look on google maps UK, zoom in around Looe go to satellite view and see if anywhere takes your fancy.
Cant give more info as I'm a north coast man.

Depends on wind and swell! Find a sheltered north coast mark and it's crystal. In my experience, the south coast fishes better with a good bit of swell anyway - and it isn't so clear then

For Looe, find the island and turn right

PS: read your tide table and go steady - take no risks.
PPS: have fun

Good news for you, they are starting to catch some Bass and Pollock over that area. Target the areas that have kelp.
