Default Guildford

Working near Guildford next week had a look at a few venues for some evening fun (day ticket carp) just wondered if anyone had any recomendations before I just pick one.

Thanks

Better than that, there are two great trout venues near Guildford; Hazelcopse and frensham trout fishery.

Hazelcopse is about 15mins outside of Guildford (A281?) and Frensham is down the A3; perhaps 15-20mins away.

you can google both or PM me for further info.

I fished both for years when living in Guildford. Hazelcopse is not pretty but cheap and the fish fight like devils and he has a higher density of big fish than most (used to stock up to 40lb salmon)
Frensham is very pretty and fun to fish but more expensive.

Oh, just remembered, along the same main road en-route to Hazelcopse is a famous carp/pike/zander fishery but just cannot recall the name.......sorry!

Depends if you are young, single and good-looking............Guildford is renown for having a higher percentage of nice young ladies than blokes

Can get a bit rough at night though when the pubs/clubs spill out.

Oh, just remembered, Peter Cockwell's shop and fishery is around 10mins outside of Burpham, Guildford. Worth a visit at least for a chat and fossick around his wee shop and a look see at the two lakes just outside his shop. A bit on the steep side to fish there though; if you ask me

None of the above but heres to giving it a go.

Will try to pop to Peters shop as well thanks.

I think Hazlecopse is looking good for a bit of trout fishing but still need my weekly fix of carp on the fly
