A short outing to some local coarse lakes to fool around with some of my vintage glass rods turned up this.
Bream? Carp? About 6lb. Hoovered up a #6 woolly b twitched slowly, and fought even worse than a chub -
I didn't think that possible!! Lethargic in the heat I guess.




Makes the fenwick FF837's brown finish and spiral wraps look positively handsome!

Man that is one ugly fish!

It's certainly not aged well, has it?

Yes - an old fish, probably between 10 & 20 years old.

We have plenty in the Dee at Chester: these fight like wet sacks but are positively athletic compared to those found in the meres.

. Nope, not in this heat. Mrs Taniwha herded me into straight into the shower when I got home!
